Dr. Eric W. Achtau, DMD
Dr. Eric W. Achtau is a 1998 graduate of Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ. He received a B.A. degree in Economics and a minor in Biology graduating with honors. In 2002 he received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers Dental School). He was consistently on the Dean’s List throughout his four years at U.M.D.N.J and was the recipient of the following awards upon graduation: The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Award, the International College of Dentists Awards, and the Water Pik Prosthodontists Award. He was also initiated into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society.
Dr. Achtau has been practicing General Dentistry for over 20 years in his office located in Sussex, NJ. The practice was established in this location by his father, Dr. Max L. Achtau in 1976. He is proud to continue providing excellent patient care to the many generations of families that are part of his practice. Dr. Achtau has been voted by his peers multiple times as one of the “Top Dentists in NJ” which was published in N.J. Monthly Magazine. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and Tri-County Dental Society.
In his free time he enjoys fishing, golfing, traveling, gardening, and spending time with his wife Eileen, their dog Scarlet and cat Elvis.
